Bermuda independent speeds up delivery of price changes to customers

PLANO, Tex. – Dec. 14, 2005 – Lindo’s Market, a 50-year-old, Bermuda-based independent grocer, has tapped StoreNext Retail Technologies LLC to upgrade their IT systems at the two-store operation.

The implementation includes StoreNext’s ISS45 point-of-sale (POS) software and Fujitsu TeamPoS 2000 POS hardware. They’ve also rolled out StoreNext’s Pricer^® Electronic Shelf Labeling system for pricing management and accuracy, as well as Retalix Store and Retalix HQ back-office applications. Lindo’s also will use the Retalix PocketOffice mobile store management application running on Fujitsu iPAD handhelds.

Data-Tech Limited, StoreNext’s Bermuda dealer, worked in tandem with StoreNext on the technology rollout. Data-Tech has been associated with StoreNext for more than ten years. The installation at the Warwick store was completed within a week in August 2005. The implementation at the Devonshire store is slated for January 2006.

Lindo’s was founded as a small butcher shop by Harry and Marion Lindo and has since successfully expanded to grocery stores at the two locations. Lindo’s stocks a variety of products from the United States, United Kingdom, Portugal, Europe, Canada and the Caribbean. They also have a well-stocked produce and meat section.

Pricer is the most feature-rich ESL solution on the market. It provides a unique solution that fully adapts to any retail need with features including fast and reliable high-speed infrared communication technology and ruggedized, theft-proof labels that attach easily to shelf edges. StoreNext’s Pricer system operates on the same PC controller used for all other store applications.
