What is a "Connected Service"?
Similar to an ASP (Application Service Provider) a Connected Service deploys, hosts, manages and updates applications software at a centrally managed facility. Members subscribe and access their own information through the Internet or virtual private networks.

Why connect? Why not just have my own system at my headquarters?
By scaling up to serve many, many small grocers, StoreNext can offer the kind of powerful applications previously affordable only to a major chain. Use of a Connected Service at a low periodic rate is far less expensive than purchasing and maintaining your own hardware and software, running a data shop and hiring the staff necessary to run it. Plus, a professionally operated Server Farm offers much better data security than a local hosting operation.

Why will my data be secure?
StoreNext.com data centers are designed for easy access and maximum security, using the latest encryption technology and firewall protection. Although anybody can visit our informative portal, only members may enter the password-protected area where their secure data is housed. Every member’s data is kept secure, private and available only to selected users from your organization.

What sort of reporting is provided?
Each module has a unique set of reports providing detailed analysis of business performance. Reports can then be further tailored by users to suit their own enterprise needs.

How soon may I retrieve consolidated sales information?
This information is available a few hours after store data has been collected – even in the middle of the night.

Can I compare data?
Storage of historical data allows comparison across different stores and different time periods, allowing you to detect important trends.

How often do you release new applications?
Several new applications are released each year. As proven applications are made ready, new applications and functionalities are continuously being developed to take advantage of new technologies and changes in the retail business environment.

What hardware is required?
Standard PC access to the Internet is all that is required. While broadband technology is becoming available, StoreNext.com applications may also operate over a standard 56kb modem.

How much do Connected Services cost?
Pricing depends on the number and type of applications and services the subscriber chooses. In all cases, the cost is significantly less than owning and operating your own in-house Information Technology system.
